Vane joins the roster of playable characters in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising

Vane, voiced by the talented Takuya Eguchi, is a beloved character since the early days of Granblue Fantasy and one of the White Dragon Knights, joining Lancelot, Sigfried, and Percival. He’s a character that packs a severe punch, hitting from a distance with his halberd and crazy combos.

You can purchase this character DLC for 880yen (tax included).

Recitation Drama of Osamu Tezuka’s Classic Tale “Dororo”

Just a couple days ago, the talented voice actors Yuki Kaji and Shinichiro Miki performed a recitation drama depicting the story of Dororo.

▶︎ About Mikikura no Kai

Introducing a dynamic duo comprising voice actor Shinichiro Miki and director Tomoyuki Kuramoto, Mikikura no Kai showcases a profound celebration of the elegance and potency inherent in the Japanese language. Employing the time-honored technique of “reading aloud” that has resonated throughout Japan’s history, this unit brings forth an engaging experience.

Comprising two essential performers, they not only read the script aloud but also bring to life a myriad of characters within the narrative. With heartfelt passion, they seamlessly draw the audience into the enchanting world of the story, creating an immersive and captivating experience.

We firmly believe in the formidable influence of words, the compelling force of narratives, and the transformative power of authentic acting.

If you’re a fan of the Dororo story, I’d suggest checking out the motion picture from 2007, which starred two of my favorite Japanese actors, Satoshi Tsumabuki and Ko Shibasaki and also had an awesome theme song performed by Mr.Children, “Fake”.

Mail orders open for commemorative merchandise from Takuya Eguchi event

Sales of commemorative merchandise from “Takuya Eguchi’s We Want to be Healed, too! -Trip to Miyagi-” theatrical release are now available through mail order by Movic.

This film is the third in a series of variety travel programs in which voice actor Takuya Eguchi and his assistant Koutaro Nishiyama travel together with various guests with the theme of “healing.” This time, they traveled to Miyagi in the summer with Chiaki Kobayashi, another voice actor in popular shows such as Frieren, Spriggan, and SK8 the Infinity. The film follows them as they visit a shrine, enjoy making lacquered chopsticks, trying their hand in making Zunda-mochi, and enjoying exquisite gourmet foods from Miyagi like beef tongue.

The music video to the song “Lights Up” by Eguchi and Nishiyama is featured at the end of the film. The narration is provided by series regular Soma Saito.
