In anticipation for Gundam Seed Freedom, text free versions of the Gundam Seed opening and ending sequences are being released for a limited time!

In anticipation of the new theatrical Gundam Seed Freedom series to be released on January 26, 2024, the official Gundam YouTube Channel has begun releasing remastered opening and ending sequences from the series with no overlaying text –for a limited time only. These releases will be periodic and according to the following schedule.

At this time, the first 4 non-credit videos have been released, which you can see below.

New Bamboo Gundam Kit Goes On Sale

Pre-orders have begun for the “Bamboo Art wa-gu-mi RX-78-2” Gundam, a craft puzzle by Azone. It sells for 10,000 yen and is available from Premium Bandai.

The new puzzle kit is made from environmentally friendly bamboo and is comprised of a total of 421 laser-cut pieces. The finished product is reminiscent of the more common plastic models, but remains unique with its bamboo make-up. Also, this is a kit that can be easily assembled without using additional tools or glues.

Reprints of Classic 90s Robot Anime Soundtracks

“Raijin-Oh,” “Ganbaruga,” “VOTOMS” – A total of 16 anime soundtracks will receive their first-ever reprints. Additionally, the bonus CD will also be available as a separate product.

The first reissue of all 16 soundtracks, originally released by Youmex between 1991 and 1994, includes music from the Sunrise-produced anime series such as “Matchless Raijin-Oh,” “Genki Bakugou Ganbaruga,” and “Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Brilliantly Shining Heresy,” is scheduled for release on November 29th. This reissue will be distributed by Universal Music.

Significantly, the bonus CD “Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Brilliantly Shining Heresy Original Soundtrack Vol.II,” originally included with the LD-BOX “Armored Trooper VOTOMS Complete Collection IV: Brilliantly Shining Heresy” in 1999, has been challenging to acquire but will now be released as a separate product.

“Matchless Raijin-Oh” is a robot anime produced by Sunrise that aired for 51 episodes on TV Tokyo from April 1991 to March 1992. It is a part of the “Eldran series,” alongside the Brave series, and is recognized as a significant entry in 1990s robot anime. Following this, the second installment in the series, “Genki Bakugou Ganbaruga,” was broadcast on TV Tokyo from April 1992 to March 1993.

“Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Brilliantly Shining Heresy” is a 5-episode OVA released in 1994, serving as a sequel to the TV anime “Armored Trooper VOTOMS.” Youmex, the company responsible for releasing these soundtracks, was engaged in the production of records and video software related to anime, games, and voice actors but was disbanded in 1998.

Gundam SEED Freedom – 3rd Promotional Video Released

The third promotional video for the upcoming theatrical film “Gundam SEED Freedom” has just been unveiled. Mark your calendars for the movie’s release on Friday, January 26, 2024.

Opening with the dignified line, “Kira Yamato, I’m going!,” the preview shows off many of the mobile suits one after another, finally including the new mobile suits “Rising Freedom Gundam” and “Immortal Justice Gundam”.

Additionally, the new force “Orpheus Lam Tao” seems to unveiled, leading to the appearance of the mysterious formation of the “Black Knight Squad”. Expectations are high for intense mobile suit action and an epic story that await.

“Gundam SEED” was the first Gundam TV series produced in the 21st century, airing a total of 50 episodes starting in October 2002. The series gained significant popularity, particularly among women, and reached a peak audience rating of 8%. It also sparked a resurgence in GUNPLA interest, especially among elementary school students, and achieved global recognition as the “New Generation Gundam Series.”

The storyline revolves around two distinct groups: genetically enhanced humans known as Coordinators and regular humans called Naturals. They engage in conflicts as part of the military organizations ZAFT and the Earth Alliance Forces. Throughout the war, the series portrays the trials and personal development of the protagonist, Kira Yamato, a Coordinator, and his childhood friend Athrun Zala.

Its sequel, “Gundam SEED DESTINY,” debuted in October 2004 and achieved even higher viewer ratings, peaking at 8.2% and surpassing its predecessor. The series also achieved remarkable cumulative package sales, exceeding 4 million copies. Its immense popularity extended beyond Japan, with music and events breaking the boundaries of a traditional TV anime series.

The theatrical film “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM” is a fresh addition to the series and serves as a sequel to “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY.” Director Mizuo Fukuda shared his excitement, saying, “We will revisit the lives of Kira, Athrun, Shin, and the rest, picking up the story 20 years later. I’m eager to craft a brand new drama. I encourage everyone to anticipate it eagerly.”

PROLOGUE
