Comparison photos of all the supersized items available at Lawson

The other day I reported that many items at Lawson convenience stores will be getting supersized, but we didn’t really have a clear picture of what a 47% increase actually looked like until now! Maybe. Check out some of these comparison pics below!

Lawson has just uploaded a bunch of comparison photos to help customers actually visualize what a 47% increase actually looks like. Some of these are clear to see, more than others, so it would be interesting to hear your opinions on these. It’s actually difficult to see exactly what was increased with these images since the “before” image is simply zoomed out and in the background…

Probably the best image to actually see how much extra was added is the roll cake below:

Please don’t watch this if you are on a diet. Lawson’s “Too Big” Campaign is too dangerous. 19 products will be supersized by 47% at the same price. I bought the premium roll cake last night for 205 yen and has a ton of cream. It also has a monster calorie count of 408kcal. All types of Karaage-kun are huge, too.

Many items get supersized at Lawson convenience stores this month

Anyone want some more whip cream? Well, you’re in luck! Lawson convenience stores will be offering a special roll cake for the next three weeks!

Starting today and lasting for about three weeks, all Lawson convenience stores nationwide in Japan will be offering premium versions of 19 different items in their stores, including boxed lunches, bread, and dessert items such as a premium roll cake that has 47% extra whipped cream.

This special event first started last February, offering 12 new big-sized items such as rice balls, noodles, pastries, and other sweets.

New items will also be available periodically throughout February, so check out your nearest Lawson to see what’s new.

New Dream Mixed Flavors karaage-kun from LAWSON

Three flavors in one pack?! Check out the Jumbo Dream Mixed Flavors karaage-kun on sale at LAWSON convenience stores now!

First introduced on Tuesday, October 17, customers can enjoy all three of the classic karaage-kun flavors, Regular, Red, and Cheese, all in a single pack! It’s a great deal for those who simply cannot decide which flavor to get!

You can pick up a pack of mixed flavored karaage for 238 yen (tax included).
