Hana Hope 2023: The new chapter


Since the beginning of the fall anime season, I’ve written several posts regarding The Kingdoms of Ruin and the great themes for both the opening and ending sequences. It’s thanks to doing a little research for these articles that I discovered that the vocalist for the opening theme was planning on doing a live show in Shibuya, but it just happened to be during a really busy time in my schedule and I wasn’t sure if I could go. I waited as long as I could before buying a ticket, but I was able to go without any problems!

The funny thing is, I was at the same venue location the day previous for work! Such a small world, especially in Japan!

So, below is my brief introduction to the vocalist Hana Hope and my impression from the concert!

Wonder Jam “MUSIC” – UTAVERSE Party at Live Bar Crossing

Bringing the digital world into reality, we aim to share the vibrant Japanese music scene with the global audience!

For the past several years, the visual productions company TypeZERO based in Tokyo, Japan has produced a monthly music program that melds the virtual world with the real. This time, however, they stepped completely into the real world to hold the first ever UTAVERSE Party at the Live Bar Crossing in Shindaita, Tokyo.

Although, unlike previous episodes of UTAVERSE, which is produced within a green screen studio, allowing artists to perform in the real world then fuse it into a virtual landscape, this special party welcomed multiple musical groups to perform as part of one grand spectacle of musical talent in an actual live house in the real world.

Let’s introduce the various artists who performed at the first of its kind real-world UTAVERSE party.
