Guess who took a trip down to the Granblue Fantasy Grandcypher Kitchen in Akihabara? The same person who just had to order every item inspired by Lucifer and Sandalphon…
It kinda goes without saying, right…?
Ever since the announcement of this latest menu at the Grandcypher Kitchen, I’ve been wanting to go and check it out for myself. This was the first time for me to go, so it was a lot of fun! The staff was also super helpful and even enthusiastically helped me find various Sandalphon related items in the menu. Not only that, but one worker mentioned that they currently didn’t have the new 12-wing Limited Sandalphon, but…!? It seems like they’ll be adding him to the menu at some point in the future!! I’m really curious how they’d fit all 12 wings into the latte art…
▶︎ The Menu
▲ 33rd menu rotation at the Granblue Fantasy Grandcypher Kitchen. Featured characters include Lucifer, Sandalphon, Galleon, and Fediel.
Every patron is given two placemats, one that features the special characters for the current menu and and another that features a singular character. I got Vira (Valentine), which you can see in the 3rd photo here.
▶︎ Pre-meal Latte Art
Latte art is sort of a staple for many themed cafes and restaurants throughout Japan, but I was really impressed with the quality of the illustrations that they were able to make. I’m not one who really knows how it’s done, so maybe it’s not that hard, but still I appreciated the fine details. Sandalphon was so cute, I didn’t want to drink and destroy the cute illustration… haha
- 1st: Sandalphon (Another)
- 2nd: Sandalphon (Valentine)
▶︎ Main Dish and Desserts
And with many similar themed cafes, the food is generally OK — not really the greatest, but not bad either, but I was really quite impressed with the quality of the items that I ordered. Maybe my excitement to order the LuciSan dishes helped make everything taste that much better. *blush*
- Lucifer’s masterpiece white cream pasta – 1,430 rupies
- Cabbage rolls for a life of light – 1,210 rupies
- Inherited chardonnay soda – 880 rupies
- Inherited milk tea coffee – 990 rupies
- Millennium honey cafe con leche – 990 rupies
- Sandalphon’s special coffee sundae – 1,100 rupies
I’m also not the biggest fan of coffee, so I wasn’t sure if I’d like the coffee jelly sundae, but it was really good! The cinnamon coffee was also really good!
And in case anyone asks, I brought my own LuciSan plushies purely to take cute photos like this! Taking a quick peek at other patrons in the cafe, I was not the only one taking similar photos… heehee
